A new Hero - M.O.X. The Golem
Back from holiday, and just in time for some really exciting news from the world of Guild Wars. The latest game update has introduced a new Hero and a new bonus item - read on for some more details!

M.O.X. The Golem
If you already have all the Guild Wars chapters, or you buy the Guild Wars Complete Collection, you’ll find M.O.X. is now available to join your party. You need to be at least level 10, because M.O.X. comes straight in as a level 20 Hero - no levelling up required!
Guild Wars lore states:
Meet M.O.X. the golem, the brainchild of a maverick Asuran inventor named Zinn. As an Asura with an entrepreneurial spirit, Zinn manufactured many golems for all sorts of clients, with little regard for their intended use—until one day when three of his golem creations turned on him. While being forced to augment these sinister creations against his will, Zinn also managed to develop his assistant M.O.X. to aid in his escape from their underground prison. M.O.X. now wanders the land in search of heroes that can help put an end to the three renegade creations and free his creator Zinn.
To meet M.O.X. :
- in Tyria: Leave Lion’s Arch through the northwest gate and you will find M.O.X. in North Kryta Province.
- in Cantha: Leave Kaineng Center through the southeast gate and you will find M.O.X. in Bukdek Byway.
- in Elona: Leave Kamadan through the north gate and you will find M.O.X. in the Plains of Jarin.
Golems are just cool, but it also appears that M.O.X. will have the ability to change his class - some serious play-testing is called for this weekend.

Igneous Summoning Stone - the Fire Imp
As an aide to helping new characters level up, a new bonus item is available - the Igneous Summoning Stone. This can be used once every 60 minutes per instance, and summons up a Fire Imp to join your party. The Fire Imp doesn’t take any party slots, and travels as an ally.
Note that the Summoning Stone can only be used by characters under level 20 - the Fire Imp ally is an aide to help new characters get established in Guild Wars, and isn’t supposed to be a permanent addition to your party.
To qualify, you’ll need to:
- Already own one of the three Guild Wars chapters
- Purchase Guild Wars Trilogy (North America) or Guild Wars Complete Collection (Europe)
- Purchase new versions of Guild Wars products in North America and Europe—look for the Fire Imp on the back of the box
- Purchase the Guild Wars 2008 Upgrade or the Game of the Year Upgrade, available in the in-game store or PlayNC.com
Type “/bonus” in a chat window to receive your bonus items.
Just in time for the weekend, M.O.X. the Golem and the Igneous Summoning Stone are some great additions that prove ArenaNet’s ongoing commitment to the existing Guild Wars titles.
